Welcome to March!
What's a Tabby Toffee? Good question! It's a smooth and creamy milk chocolate ganache studded with crunchy toffee pieces, finished with a swirl of butterscotch and encased in a thin dark chocolate shell. 100% vegan, organic, fair-trade, and handmade in our little New Paltz, NY shop. Each box also includes three solid dark chocolate Blue Birds of Happiness, with wings painted with all-natural organic food coloring derived from blueberries.
It's a delicious chocolate, but even better, half the price of each box goes to the Teal Cat Project, started by Isa Moskowitz. Vegan scene queen extraordinaire Isa and I had been talking about collaborating on a chocolate to benefit the Teal Cat Project for a while, and this month's chocolate is the result. TCP raises money for cat rescue groups by selling teal cat figurines that have been reclaimed from thrift shops, eBay, and donations and stylishly painted an alluring teal. Hey, teal is the official Lagusta's Luscious color, too! So we're so happy to pair with this wonderful and creative group doing such great work. $10 of each box of March's chocolate goes to Teal Cat Project.
(As usual, Chocolate of the Month Club members will receive two boxes of chocolates.)
