Rich and creamy coconut deliciousness. Named for Nawal el Saadawi.
These pyramids are the perfect bite-sized vegan and healthy version of a certain candy bar. Creamy coconut and local New York maple syrup combine with a thin bittersweet chocolate shell for a wonderful two-bite delight.

Nawal el Saadawi is an Egyptian feminist thinker, medical doctor, one-time presidential candidate, and lifelong activist whose influence has spread far beyond her home country. Throughout four decades of tumultuous and courageous public life, she has written 27 books, many of which have focused on the challenges and realities of women’s lives in Egypt, the Arab world, and the entire world. Her books have been banned and she has been exiled and imprisoned. She has rallied against the silencing and censoring of women’s diverse voices, worked to end the horrific practice of female genital mutiliation, and worked to found the Arab Women's Solidarity Association—a grassroots group working to bring together Arab women from all around the world—among many other accomplishments.
